El documento se divide en cuatro capítulos, el primero contempla un marco de referencia para contextualizar las prácticas en España y la situación en Colombia y el marco conceptual con algunos de los términos más representativos trabajados en el proyecto. En el segundo capítulo se describe el modelo de acompañamiento al CMDR y las respectivas etapas de implementación. El tercer capítulo brinda herramientas para acompañar los procesos de fortalecimiento del CMDR en los diferentes territorios a nivel departamental y nacional.
The new Constitution of Nepal (2015) has initiated federal, provincial, and local governments in Nepal, each bestowed with respective rights, responsibilities, power and authority. While developing the new mechanism of governance, the Constitution has given immense authority as well as responsibility to local governments, which is unprecedented and has never been experienced before in the history of Nepal. Along with the restructuring of the state, the institutional mechanism of the agriculture sector has also been restructured.
This report represents findings on the role of women in small-scale farming (defined as farms up to 5 ha or 8 ESU), particularly in relation to governance frameworks associated with food and nutrition security. It follows SALSA Deliverable 5.1, which assesses the governance arrangements which impact upon small-scale farms and small food businesses. Both reports utilise the data collected in SALSA WP3 (In-depth assessment of food systems in 30 regions).
The Policy Compendium for Rural Advisory Services (RAS) is a tool that contributes to filling the gap between the rural advisory services (RAS) policy environment and RAS efforts in the field. It helps direct decisions and facilitate successful policy processes and outcomes in extension and advisory services by making knowledge accessible, fostering synergies and promoting policy processes to improve RAS and rural development. It has two purposes.
This document is intended to serve as a resource for assessing capacity needs in a project or programme. A capacity needs assessment (CNA) is a process for identifying a project’s perceptions (through staff, partners and stakeholders) on various capacity areas that impact the work they do. The process helps identify challenges and opportunities for enhancing key skills thereby enhancing the project’s ability to achieve its objectives. The overall goal of a CNA is to determine the gap between required and existing capacities.
L’Initiative sur les bonnes pratiques au niveau mondial entend rendre l’information et le savoir-faire en matière de vulgarisation facilement accessibles à un large public de praticiens. Pour ce faire, elle prépare des Notes de bonnes pratiques, qui décrivent les concepts et méthodes clés dans un format facile à comprendre. Ces notes donnent une vue d’ensemble des principaux aspects et des références permettant d’aller plus loin. Les notes sont téléchargeables gratuitement à partir de www.betterextension.org.
Le renforcement des capacités à innover apparaît comme un nouveau moyen pour assurer un développement durable dans les pays du Sud. Dans le secteur de l'agriculture, l'innovation est essentiellement collective, ce qui appelle les chercheurs à sortir de leur rôle de producteurs de connaissances pour s'engager auprès des acteurs en situation d'innovation. Si une diversité de pratiques de recherche engagée sont apparues, il n'existe cependant pas aujourd'hui une vision claire des différentes façons dont les chercheurs contribuent à l'innovation.
CDAIS is a global partnership that aims to strengthen the capacity of countries and key stakeholders to innovate in the context of complex agricultural systems, to improve rural livelihoods. The goal of the Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems (CDAIS) project is to promote innovation that meets the needs of small farmers, small and medium-sized agribusiness, and consumers.
Como parte del proyecto insignia del IICA “Productividad y sustentabilidad de la agricultura familiar para la seguridad alimentaria y la economía rural” se realizó un ejercicio participativo para identificar y validar innovaciones que contribuyan a la mejora de los sistemas de agricultura familiar.
En esta sección se retrata como se hace y vive la agroecología en un contexto campesino rural. Desde una comunidad en las Lomas del Escambray (prov. Villa Clara) se intenta transmitir el corazón y la energía de la agroecología en Cuba, a la vez que mostrar el funcionamiento del MACAC, las prácticas cotidianas y las reflexiones de los/as protagonistas.
