Following their first formation in Indonesia over 25 years ago, Farmer Field Schools (FFS) have served as a “proof of concept” of how transformative learning can help governments, donors and development stakeholders achieve development objectives. The FFS approach, which has now been used in more than 90 countries by more than 12 million small farmers (FAO, 2016), not only creates a space in which the practical needs of smallholders to solve production-related issues can be addressed but also fosters personal and community-level transformation through empowerment.
This brochure presents the Programme on Bridging the Rural Digital Divide, that begun in 2003 under the implementation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The programme highlighted innovative approaches to knowledge exchange that were taking advantage of new (at that time) digital technologies, and that were based on synergies between information management and communication for development. At the time this was referred to as "information and communication for development"(ICD).

Le programme exposait des approches novatrices pour le partage des connaissances qui tiraient partie des nouvelles technologies numériques (de l’époque) et qui s’appuyaient sur des synergies entre la gestion de l’information et la communication pour le développement. Este folleto presenta el Programa estratégico para “Reducir la Brecha Digital en el Medio Rural”, implementado en 2003 por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO). El programa destacó enfoques novedosos para el intercambio de información, que aprovechaban de nuevas (en ese tiempo) tecnologías digitales, y se basaban en sinergias entre la gestión de información y la comunicación para el desarrollo. En ese momento este proceso se llamaba "Información y Comunicación para el Desarrollo" (ICD).
The presented model of operations capacity planning allows obtaining quantitative dimensions of the service system parameters for Administrative Services Centre. A methodology for the practical application of this model has also been presented here. The present paper aims at offering support for operations managers in the service sector for decision making regarding the operations capacity. The paper was presented at 7th annual International scientific conference "New dimensions in the development of society", held in Jelgava, Latvia, in 2011.

The honey production in Mexico is a relevant activity of the livestock subsector, due to the generation of jobs and income in the agricultural sector, as well as its contribution of foreign exchange. In the period from 2005 to 2015 the average annual production was 58 thousand tons, which fluctuated between 55 and 62 thousand tons. This has placed Mexico as the eighth largest producer in the world and the third exporting country.
As part of the Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation System Project (CDAIS) a Policy Dialogue process is being implemented in the 8 pilot countries.
The purposes of the Policy Dialogue is to contribute to the improvement of the process of development or implementation of policies that promote agricultural innovation through improved dialogue and interaction among key stakeholders and, ultimately to contribute to the enhancement of the enabling environment for agricultural innovation.

En el periodo de 2005 a 2015 la producción promedio anual fue de 58 mil toneladas, misma que fluctuó entre las 55 y 62 mil toneladas. Lo anterior ha ubicado a México como el octavo productor a nivel mundial y el tercer país exportador.
