The study is an attempt to identify the type and channels of acquiring agricultural information by farmers; and whether this information helps them in their decisions to adopt new and improved technologies, which can then be translated into higher yield. A unique two-period panel data sets that come from surveys conducted in 2011 and 2013 by the Central Statistical Agency in collaboration with Ethiopian Strategic Support Program were used to evaluate Agricultural Growth Program (AGP)
This study will answer the following questions: (i) What is the socio-economic impact of the Banfora Milk Platform on actors in the milk value chain? (ii) What investments are needed to maximize the impact of the Banfora Milk Platform? The answers to these questions will help Innovation Platform actors to measure the socio-economic impact of their innovation and also to take steps to correct shortcomings in order to substantially improve the income of beneficiaries. It examines who rural youth are, where they live, and the multiple constraints they face in their journey from dependence to independence. A distinguishing feature of this report is that it examines rural development in the context of the transformation of rural areas and the wider economy. Opportunities for young women and men begin with a transformation towards a dynamic rural economy.

El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar la estructura de la gobernanza para ampliar y consolidar el uso de prácticas de Adaptación basada en Ecosistemas (AbE) en agricultura. Se analizaron tres paisajes productivos distribuidos en tres países (Honduras, Guatemala y Costa Rica), caracterizados por la dedicación a la caficultura de pequeña escala. Para cada uno de estos paisajes se identificaron los actores que intercambian información entre la escala nacional y el nivel de los productores.

This work brings data about the use of E-commerce and poverty reduction in rural areas of China and was presented on the Digital Innovation Dialogue Session 6: China’s Approaches and Experiences in Digital Agriculture and Digital Rural Area. The Digital Innovation Dialogue initiative was launched in early 2019 by the FAO and serve as a forum to enhance knowledge sharing and mutual learning between multidisciplinary innovation practitioners and FAO staff through open and informal discussions.
