In November 2016, a CDAIS capacity needs assessment of a community milk processing centre started a process that has seen clear changes in less than a year. This book collects 24 stories of change from the EU-funded CDAIS project. Launched in 2015, the overall objective of CDAIS is to make agricultural innovation systems more efficient and sustainable in meeting the demands of farmers, agri-business and consumers. The stories are about the eight pilot countries - in Africa, Asia and Latin America - in which CDAIS operates. Although agricultural innovation systems (AIS) have recently received considerable attention in academic and development circles, links between an AIS's regional specifications and structural-functional analysis have been neglected. This paper aims to understand how regional and structural dimensions determine systemic problems and blocking mechanisms that, in turn, hinder a regional AIS's function.
These guidelines are produced by FAO as part of the Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems Project (CDAIS). The objective of this document is provide practical guidelines to implement marketplace events to strengthen agricultural innovation. A marketplace is an event organized to facilitate matching of demand and supply and to promote learning, sharing and exchanging of information, knowledge and practical experience on specific topics.

This Coaching Process guide was prepared under the project Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems (CDAIS), a global partnership (Agrinatura, FAO and eight pilot countries) that aims to strengthen the capacity of countries and key stakeholders to innovate in complex agricultural systems, thereby achieving improved rural livelihoods. CDAIS uses a continuous learning cycle approach to support national agricultural innovation systems in eight countries in Africa, in Asia and Central America.
Este articulo busca sintetizar el proceso incesante de mejora en la organización interna del Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria, desde el fortalecimiento del sistema de extensión, hasta la internalización del enfoque territorial como estrategia de planificación y gestión del accionar institucional en la complejidad sistémica que caracteriza a los territorios.
Este articulo describe la sistematización de experiencias que tenian como idea inicial agregar valor a través del corte y limpieza del ajo, capacitando para ello a personas desocupadas. El proceso de sistematización se realizó según la Guía metodológica de Sistematización de experiencias de Desarrollo Rural elaborada por el Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca (2011). La nueva propuesta resultó más adecuada a las condiciones de trabajo reales, por lo que los objetivos planteados se pudieron cumplir en un plazo más corto.
Este estudio identifica factores que inciden en la adopción de tecnología e innovación productiva en la producción vitivinícola familiar ubicada en el Oasis Este de Mendoza. Se abordan realidades territoriales desde perspectivas cualitativas con productores entre 10 y 70 ha. Se indaga respecto de las visiones de nuevas tecnologías, como cambios organizacionales, de sistemas de conducción y de estrategias de diversificación para mejorar la actividad.
En este documento el Centro Regional INTA Mendoza- San Juan buscó reflexionar sobre sus prácticas, interpretar críticamente sucesos ocurridos y los factores facilitadores y obstaculizadores para el logro de los objetivos deseados, pero sobre todo poder rescatar las lecciones aprendidas de este proceso analítico como parte de las características de la sistematización de experiencias.
