En esta tesis se presenta una investigación que objetiva las nociones, métodos y estrategias de comunicación que se desarrollan en el sistema de Extensión Rural del INTA, y en particular en las prácticas de la Agencia de Extensión Rural (AER) de Monteros, que pertenece al área de influencia del Centro Regional Tucumán – Santiago del Estero y que interviene en esta zona por medio del Proyecto Regional Tucumán Sur.
Este artículo tiene el propósito de argumentar el grado de cohesión social que existe en la Productora de Flores Selectas de Tequexquinahuac SPR, RL, una organización integrada por 20 socios: 17 son hombres y 3 mujeres. La idea central está basada en el interés por conocer elementos que permiten organizar a actores sociales alrededor de un proyecto común; al interior de la organización propician cohesión social.

The paper discusses issues related to Design, User experience Usability involved in designing the interface to be used in rural areas. This study analyses the problems based on tests done on the interface in the villages of Punjab, Pakistan. Rural development is based on economic, social and human development. Whereas, Software Requirement Engineering focuses on how requirements can be gathered to achieve better end product. We aim to discuss software requirement gathering process in rural areas and attempting to elicit requirements from Pakistani rural woman.

Students from developing countries face an enormous challenge when moving from their local education system into the competitive international education market. Their local knowledge gets lost in a foreign education system where the students are required to acquire a new set of skills. This paper investigates the role of knowledge management in African agricultural and rural development policies, and how information and communications technologies (ICTs) can contribute to enhance it. African Policymakers are aware of the importance of knowledge management; however, its actual use is constrained by inter-related factors encompassing the national context and investments in ICTs for knowledge management are still limited.
ICTs are being increasingly used for Knowledge Management (KM) nowadays. In spite of this, rapid deployment of ICTs for KM is a major challenge. This paper explores the challenges in using ICT for KM using the case of “agropedia” – an ICT mediated knowledge management platform for Indian agriculture. The paper argues that KM is no more a technical challenge, but rather constrained by social and organizational barriers. Without initiating institutional and policy changes in addressing these barriers, KM continues to elude Indian agriculture.
The CGIAR research program on livestock and fish aims to sustainably increase the productivity of small-scale livestock and fish systems so as to increase the availability and affordability of meat, milk and fish for poor consumers across the developing world. The purpose of this document is to lay out a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework for the program. The Framework provides a concise narrative of why the M&E system is important, how it operates, what kinds of data it will collect and who is responsible for data collection and analysis.
