The first phase in the development of the Common Framework on Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation systems (CD for AIS) consisted of the review of the existing literature, building up a repository of relevant documentation on agricultural innovation in general and AIS and CD for AIS. This report summarizes this first phase. In particular, Section 1 covers this brief introduction. Sections two and three focus on the review of relevant literature, presenting the methodology used and the structure of the repository itself.
This report highlights the outcome of the Business and Enterprise training workshop conducted for pig farmers under the Kyanamukaaka-Kabonera pig cooperative in Masaka district. The training took place from 26th to 28th August 2015 at St.Paul Primary School in Bukunda, Masaka district. The report contains information about workshop preparations, objectives, methodology, key events of the training, participants’ evaluation of the workshop, summary of conclusion and recommendations. The training team comprised of Enterprise Uganda staff; Daniel Joloba and Sarah Akiteng.
The Conceptual Background provides an in-depth analysis of the conceptual underpinnings and principles of the TAP Common Framework. It is also available in French and Spanish.
The Guidance Note on Operationalization provides a brief recap of the conceptual underpinnings and principles of the TAP Common Framework as well as a more detailed guide to operationalization of the proposed dual pathways approach. It offers also a strategy for monitoring and evaluation as well as a toolbox of select tools that may be useful at the different stages of the CD for AIS cycle.
The Synthesis Document provides a synthesis of concepts and principles of the Common Framework developed under the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP). The objective of the TAP Common Framework is to promote better coherence and greater impact of capacity development in support of agricultural innovation in the Tropics. Developed in 2015 through a highly participatory process, it was agreed that the Framework should provide conceptual underpinnings and practical guidance.
Les leçons et les recommandations mises en avant dans cette publication sont issues d’un atelier de capitalisation de PAEPARD qui a réuni tous les partenaires à Cotonou, au Bénin, du 2 au 6 octobre 2017. Cet atelier a joué un rôle essentiel dans l’évaluation globale de PAEPARD, car il a encouragé les participants à analyser leurs expériences relatives aux PMA afro-européens pour les processus de RAD facilités par PAEPARD durant ces sept dernières années. Lors des discussions, les partenaires ont réfléchi à l’avenir des activités de PAEPARD et à la pérennité de ses réalisations.
The lessons and recommendations outlined in this paper were captured at a PAEPARD Capitalization Workshop with all partners, held in Cotonou, Benin, on 2-6 October 2017. The workshop was key to the overall evaluation of PAEPARD II, as it encouraged participants to analyse and reflect on their experiences of the AfricanEuropean MSP for ARD processes facilitated by PAEPARD over the last 7 years.

La primera parte de la investigación es la caracterización, utilizando el enfoque de medios de vida (DFID, 1999) y el marco de los capitales (Flora et ál. 2004).
En este estudio durante el período 2008-2009, los objetivos fueron caracterizar a los productores, determinar el grado de adopción y evaluar el impacto del uso de la variedad de frijol Pinto Saltillo, generada por el INIFAP. El procedimiento metodológico se basó en una entrevista formal a una muestra de agricultores, los cuales fueron seleccionados al azar de una población de 45,000 productores registrados en el padrón de SAGARPA. El tamaño de muestra fue de 496 elementos.
