  1. Foro Consultivo Científico y Tecnológico (FCCyT)

    De acuerdo con la Ley de Ciencia y Tecnología, el Foro Consultivo tiene asignadas las siguientes funciones sustantivas: Fungir como organismo asesor autónomo y permanente del Poder Ejecutivo, el Consejo General, la Junta de Gobierno del Conacyt y el Poder Legislativo (federal y estatales). Al efecto, promoverá la expresión de la comunidad científica, académica, tecnológica y del sector productivo, para la formulación de propuestas en materia de políticas y programas de investigación científica, desarrollo tecnológico e innovación. Ser un órgano de expresión y comunicación de los usuarios del Sistema de CTI. Su objetivo es propiciar el diálogo entre los integrantes del Sistema Nacional de Investigación y los legisladores, las autoridades federales y estatales y los empresarios, con el propósito de estrechar lazos de colaboración entre la academia, el gobierno y la empresa. Comunicar y difundir la CTI. El Foro hace uso de distintos medios de comunicación directa, masiva y a través de Internet.

Tj is the system providing complex approach to information service of representatives of agrobusiness: from farmers up to proccessors, wholesalers, agricultural input suppliers,and others who have an interest in agricultural sector. The mission of AgroInform.Tj is to intensify market for agricultural products in Tajikistan through establishing business connections and providing accurate and detailed information necessary for conducting agrobusiness. To achieve this goal AgroInform.Tj is applying information and communication technology. Using information services of AgroInform.Tj that are provided through web-portal, SMS-packages and Agricultural Newspaper, users can find, receive and use information, depending on individual needs and interests at any time regardless of location.

  5. Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development

    The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) is a council of the Department of Science and Technology of the Philippines government. The council aims to help national research and development efforts in agriculture, forestry, and natural resources of the Philippines. It does so by assisting with planning strategies, formulating policies, and programs for development. It is the body responsible nationally for programming and allocating government and external funds for R&D, and monitors and evaluates these programs for effectiveness.

  6. French Institute for Agricultural, Forestry, and Veterinary Sciences

    Agreenium is a French public cooperation Institute attached to both the French Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Higher Education. The Institute represents 14 higher education institutions and four research institutes.The purpose of Agreenium is to achieve synergy between higher education and research in the agricultural, veterinary, forestry, and landscape sectors in order to raise its visibility at the international level.

  12. Agricultural Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean: Institutional Scenarios and Mechanisms

    Agriculture and food supply face a repositioning in the context of challenges associated with the Millennium Development Goals. From a development perspective it is of central importance to identify the role that the sector should perform in the fight against poverty and in a world that is increasingly urbanized. In this context, the general objective of the document is to contribute to the discussion of the current situation of the National Institutes of Agricultural Research (INIA’s - Institutos Nacionales de Investigación Agropecuaria) in Latin America in the framework of the National Innovation Systems and the international scenario. Specifically,the objectives are: i) to characterize the challenges they face and the scientific basis on which the INIA’s work and function (sections I.2 and I.3); ii) to analyze the evolution and role of the INIA’s in the Region (section I.4); iii) to propose changes that could be put in place to take advantage of opportunities, deal with challenges and be part of the new processes of innovation that are developing (sections I.5 and I.6); iv) to identify specific interventions required to put into practice the required transformations (sections I.7 and I.8); v) to contribute to a better understanding, design and management of innovation platforms for the regional agricultural sector (section II).
