Comprende aspectos integrales del sistema de producción, desde organización a comercialización.
Este libro describe la actuación del proyecto “Gestión de riesgo de desastres naturales con enfoque de seguridad alimentaria en el departamento de Arequipa”, abreviado como PGRD-COPASA y busca sistematizar los resultados y las conclusiones de modo tal que puedan servir de inspiración para proyectos nuevos o en curso, que trabajan en la misma temática o en un entorno comparable.
Este documento analiza los temas emergentes y sus implicancias respecto a las políticas de desarrollo. La sección 2 aborda las tendencias en la expansión de los supermercados en los países en desarrollo, y la sección 3 analiza los factores determinantes del fenómeno. La sección 4 versa sobre las repercusiones en los consumidores y los minoristas tradicionales, que se encuentran en los eslabones posteriores del sistema agroalimentario, y en los procesadores, mayoristas y agricultores, que se ubican en los anteriores del mismo.
El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar la aplicación de la metodología de redes como una herramienta para el análisis socioeconómico y la transferencia de tecnologías de un sistema producto, como es el caso del sistema de bovinos productores de carne y doble propósito en el Estado de Michoacán
The African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS), a not-forprofit continental body was conceptualized for the promotion of efficient and effective Agricultural Advisory Services (AAS) in Africa. The continental body is to provide a central platform to facilitate lesson learning and information sharing amongst African countries to develop a pool of best fit knowledge, skills, technologies and experiences for easy access by users with the overall aim of improving rural livelihoods.
The transition to a market for agricultural research and knowledge-intensive services presents various challenges for actors in the agricultural knowledge infrastructure, on both the demand side (end users of innovations such as farmers, and the government) and the supply side (providers of research and knowledge-intensive services). This paper examines the role of postsecondary agricultural education and training (AET) in sub-Saharan Africa in the context of the region’s agricultural innovation systems. Specifically, the paper looks at how AET in sub-Saharan Africa can contribute to agricultural development by strengthening innovative capacity, or the ability of individuals and organisations to introduce new products and processes that are socially or economically relevant, particularly with respect to smallholder farmers who represent the largest group of agricultural producers in the region.
Traditional approaches to innovation systems policymaking and governance often focus exclusively on the central provision of services, regulations, fiscal measures, and subsidies.
Le présent document a reconnu l’existence d’un consensus international croissant au sujet de l’importance de l’objectif de renforcement des capacités et de la façon dont il a des chances d’être réalisé. L’accent a été mis sur la reconnaissance du fait que le renforcement des capacités est un processus endogène, sur l’importance de l’appropriation des politiques nationales qui en résulte, et sur la nécessité pour les donneurs de se limiter à encourager et à soutenir les efforts du pays.
